How Batch Scaling Works

Every ingredient is multiplied by a single scaling factor — the ratio of your target batch weight to the original batch weight. Lye and water amounts in soap recipes scale linearly the same way, so the chemistry stays balanced. For total accuracy, run the scaled oils back through the lye calculator to double-check the lye amount before mixing.
